Weekend Strolling

Running around on errands early in the day on July 4th, I managed to have a few outfit photos snapped. Kind of a strange morning in that it was so calm and quiet out. A lot of New Yorkers had vacated midtown and/or were staying inside (one of the first of several extra hot days), and most of the tourists in for the holiday were either sleeping in or were already staking out their places along the Hudson. I remember Christmas Day in NYC being strangely quiet too in comparison to the busy atmosphere leading up to it. Anytime you can stroll down a sidewalk with almost no one else around or slow down enough to take in the surroundings, is a real treat in New York City…it doesn’t happen very often, but when it does I definitely take time to appreciate it.
