Dreaming of Greece

Anthropologie’s current window display at its Rockefeller Center location has me dreaming about the summers I spent in Greece on archaeological excavations as an undergrad studying Classical Art and Architecture. Tranquil blues and whites, homes clinging to rocks and boats playfully swinging in nestled harbors. Funny that even all these years later, whenever summer rolls around, some internal clock announces that field season is about to begin. There’s something about summer that makes it seem like the time for unearthing new knowledge, making discoveries that stay with you forever…perhaps, that’s why every summer still feels like a new field season to me.
